The second draft proved to be a lot worthier of an opening scene. Narratively it was simplified yet allowed a greater understanding for our target audience. The opening was a little more nostalgic also reflecting our audience and developing each character a lot more than before. A greater range of shots were used and the shots in the house had a clearer and crisp audio alongside the soundtrack.
Here is our first draft for our opening sequence. The overall shots are carried and executed very well. After constructive criticism from our colleagues we came to an agreement that the sound was poor and didn’t blend together at all well. The cuts from each scene were two direct and managed to break the flow of the sequence. Overall it was mediocre for our first draft and did need some more work done to it.
